Rooted in Learning

At this year’s All In for St. Nicholas Auction & Gala, we are inviting our community to support three meaningful projects that will enrich daily life for our students.

Together, we hope to raise $30,000 to fund new STEM learning equipment, a potting pavilion for outdoor learning, and stainless steel cafeteria serviceware that promotes sustainability and student well-being.

Each of these initiatives will directly enrich the daily experience of our students and help learning take root in meaningful ways.

Potting Pavilion: Cultivating Curiosity Outdoors

This project will create a dedicated outdoor classroom where learning and nature come together. Located near the garden, the Potting Pavilion will serve as the home base for our gardening program, where students can pot plants, care for seedlings, and learn hands-on lessons about the natural world.

The covered structure will allow the pavilion to be used throughout the year, providing shade on warm days and shelter during light rain so classes can gather outdoors more often.

STEM learning equipment for coding and robotics

STEM Learning: Coding & Robotics for Our Classrooms

This project will expand hands-on STEM learning for our students through the addition of LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI Kits and Dash coding robots. These tools invite students to build, program, test, and problem-solve as they bring ideas to life.

Through guided lessons and open-ended exploration, students will strengthen logical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and resilience while seeing math, science, and technology in action.

Stainless steel cafeteria trays and serviceware

Stainless Steel Cafeteria Upgrade

As part of our commitment to student health and environmental stewardship, St. Nicholas plans to transition our cafeteria service ware to durable, food-grade stainless steel.

This upgrade will support a safer, more sustainable dining experience for students while also helping PK3 transition to family-style dining.
