Chapel is certainly at the heart of the St. Nicholas experience and occurs each day at 8:30 a.m. Because the school was founded by Grace Episcopal Church, St. Nicholas follows the liturgy of the Episcopal Church during daily chapel services.
St. Nicholas cherishes its rich Episcopal tradition that insists on an inclusive environment where all religions, creeds and faiths are not only accepted but honored. Significant holy days from other religious traditions are celebrated with stories and other age-appropriate presentations. Most importantly, the St. Nicholas chapel program is a model for open-mindedness, tolerance, and acceptance of differences. Children leave chapel with a sincere and deep respect for the process of honoring God and each other.
