Ready! Set! Let's Go! Summer at St. Nicholas Camp is an incredibly fun time for kids ages 4-12, with a camp leadership program for ages 13-15.
St. Nicholas offers an exciting multi-day art and music component to our weekly schedule.
St. Nicholas Summer Camp 2017 is May 30-July 28. Day camp is open from 7am-6pm but campers may be dropped off and picked up anytime during those hours. We no longer offer a part time camp option. Campers may attend enrichment classes in addition to day camp or they may opt to do specific enrichment classes outside of day camp.
On the days that campers are not scheduled for a field trip or swimming, they attend an art class and music class. Add-on enrichment classes are offered each week. Campers also have the opportunity to participate in our gardening program.Involvement in age-appropriate group activities and exposure to diverse athletic and educational experiences are the foundation to the summer camp program. The St. Nicholas atmosphere of respect and trust advances the development of personal and situational skills.
ART classes provide campers with a variety of fun materials including paint, pencil, watercolor, and craft supplies. Over the course of the summer, groups are encouraged to explore their own creativity and create masterpieces using a variety of fun materials.
The MUSIC component provides opportunities for campers to be creative while working with others through the art of improvisation. They have the chance to become comfortable sharing their singing and other musical talents in a creative and spontaneous environment. Campers also have the opportunity to experiment with various musical instruments during camp.
GROWING A GARDEN can be easy and lots of fun! Campers learn the basics of growing summer veggies, herbs and flowers in the St. Nicholas school garden. Garden activities include caring for greenhouse plants, making flower necklaces, watering, weeding, saving flower seeds and tasting garden goodies, like fresh tomato salsa.
